Nick Aldis To Challenge Alex Shelley For World Title At IMPACT Slammiversary

Nick Aldis has earned a title shot at IMPACT Slammiversary.

At IMPACT Against All Odds, Aldis, Bully Ray, Jonathan Gresham, and Heath defeated Mike Bailey, Moose, PCO, and Rich Swann in the first-ever 8-4-1 Match, which began as an eight-man tag team bout and ended in a four-way between the winning team. Gresham scored the win for his team, and in the end, Aldis clinched the victory by making Heath tap out to the Cloverleaf.

As a result, Aldis earned a shot at the IMPACT World Championship at IMPACT Slammiversary. In the main event of IMPACT Against All Odds, Alex Shelley defeated Steve Maclin to win the title. IMPACT then confirmed that Aldis will challenge Shelley for the gold at IMPACT Slammiversary.

During the match, IMPACT President Scott D’Amore returned and scored some revenge. He attacked Bully Ray with a chair and ultimately played a part in his loss. Ray previously took D’Amore out by slamming him through a table at IMPACT Under Siege.
