The reigning WWE RAW Women’s Champion got her new belt tonight, and Charlotte Flair returned to confront her.
During tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Asuka was given a brand new belt. Asuka defeated Bianca Belair to win the WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WWE Night of Champions. The two women have been feuding over the RAW title on WWE SmackDown, but this change will drop the champion’s affiliation with a specific brand.
Unfortunately for Asuka, her celebration was cut short, as Charlotte Flair made her way down to the ring. Adam Pearce — who was in the ring with Asuka — asked what Flair wanted, and said he knows what she’s trying to do. Flair said she won’t be waiting in line, because she made the line, and wants a title shot. Asuka accepted the challenge, and then tried to hit Flair with some mist, but Flair ducked out of the way.
Flair had been absent since she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 39.
