Asuka will be presented with a new title on the June 9 episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE confirmed that “The Empress of Tomorrow” will be part of the WWE Women’s Championship Presentation. The announcement featured a picture of Asuka holding the new title.
Asuka defeated Bianca Belair to win the WWE RAW Women’s Championship at WWE Night of Champions. The two women have been feuding over the RAW title on WWE SmackDown, but this change will drop the champion’s affiliation with a specific brand.
RAW superstar Rhea Ripley currently holds the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Fans will have to wait and see whether she will also get a new title.
