Jon Moxley‘s next match in Japan has been announced.
NJPW star El Desperado competed at GCW Tournament of Survival 8 and Cage of Survival 2 on June 3 and 4. After the shows, Desperado called out Moxley and challenged the former AEW World Champion to a rematch, as “Mox” beat him at NJPW Music City Mayhem in 2022.
Moxley responded to the challenge by saying he’s coming to NJPW STRONG Independence Day on July 4 and 5, and he’s bringing former ROH star Homicide with him. The duo will face El Desperado and a partner who hasn’t been named yet.

Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta will face CHAOS (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Rocky Romero) on the June 7 episode of AEW Dynamite. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
