Vince McMahon is reportedly backstage at WWE RAW.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that McMahon is backstage at the June 5 episode of WWE RAW, which is being taped in Hartford, Connecticut. Hartford is close to Stamford, the site of WWE Headquarters, so McMahon’s presence isn’t necessarily a surprise. Johnson wrote that “a lot” of WWE office executives are backstage as well.
Monday marks the first RAW since the day after WrestleMania 39 that McMahon has personally been at. Otherwise, he has reportedly been remotely making changes.
Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that most of the talent and staff in attendance weren’t surprised by McMahon’s presence, given Hartford’s proximity to where McMahon lives. Though he had been making changes remotely, McMahon was in Gorilla Position, where he was WrestleMania weekend. However, the overall mood was far less hectic than it was said to be at the RAW after WrestleMania.
In another update, Sapp wrote that McMahon changed “a significant part of the show” a few hours before it began.
