Liv Morgan Comments On ‘Torn Shoulder’ Injury

Liv Morgan briefly comments on her shoulder injury.

During the May 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL. Morgan suffered an injury during the bout, so she and Rodriguez were subsequently forced to vacate the titles.

Morgan appeared on the UpUpDownDown live stream on June 3, and she was whether she should be permitted to compete for the UpUpDownDown Championship because she was not medically cleared. Morgan addressed her injury and noted that she could win with one shoulder.(H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription.)

“I’m sitting at home with my torn shoulder and I’m like, ‘Wow, I’m really excited to win the UpUpDownDown Champion, I’m excited to beat ma.ce, and his kid just happened to have a recital,'” Morgan said. “I’d like to see the footage of this recital, I’m just saying. You sent your friends out, but even with one shoulder, I’m still going to beat you. One shoulder, no shoulder, it doesn’t matter.”

As of this writing, it’s unclear when Morgan will return to the ring.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the May 29 episode of WWE RAW.
