Former IMPACT World Champion Moose is reportedly set to hit the open market soon.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that, as of a few weeks ago, Moose’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling is set to expire in June. IMPACT previously re-signed him when he was set to hit free agency in the summer of 2021.
At the time, IMPACT and Moose agreed to a “lucrative” extension, and Moose was pushed as one of the company’s top stars. During an interview with Fightful, the former champion confirmed that WWE had interest in him.
Per Sapp, Senior Vice President of Talent Development Canyon Ceman had been interested in bringing Moose in, and one pitch was for him to go right to the main roster. However, Vince McMahon “dragged his feet” on approving that idea, and Ceman is no longer with the company.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
Moose is set to compete in the 8-4-1 Match at IMPACT Against All Odds on June 9.
