Another free agent has made their way to WWE NXT.
The May 30 episode of NXT was headlined by Carmelo Hayes defending his NXT Championship against Noam Dar. Hayes retained the gold, but the show ended with the arrival of Baron Corbin. As Hayes made his way up the ramp, Corbin attacked him. He then hit the End of Days and lifted the NXT title to put the champion on notice.
Corbin went undrafted as a free agent in the WWE Draft, and he wasn’t the only main roster star to appear on the May 30 episode of NXT. Mustafa Ali made an appearance earlier in the night to aid Wes Lee and Tyler Bate in a brawl with Schism.
It remains to be seen how long Corbin will be utilized on NXT again. He hasn’t appeared for the brand since he was called up to the main roster in 2016. In recent months, he’s been on a losing streak and was quickly squashed by Cameron Grimes on the May 12 episode of SmackDown.
