Mustafa Ali made a surprising appearance on the May 30 episode of WWE NXT
On Tuesday’s show, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee and Tyler Bate battled The Dyad (Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) During the match, Lee appeared in the crowd, and he joined the commentary team. Ali teased his interest in Lee’s title and noting that Wes was the kind of champion he wanted to be. He then watched the rest of the match, in which Lee and Bate scored the victory.
After the match, Joe Gacy attacked Lee and Bate, and Ali made the save. He raised their arms, and the trio stood tall.
Lee last wrestled at WWE Night of Champions, where he unsuccessfully challenged Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Following the 2023 WWE Draft, Ali became a free agent, meaning he can appear on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.
