AEW Fight Forever is coming to consoles and PC on Thursday, June 29.
This date took a lot of people by surprise today since a typical video game will release on either a Tuesday or a Friday. So why is AEW Fight Forever dropping on a Thursday?
According to sources I have spoken to, the plan is for the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite to have heavy synergy with the game in hopes of driving a bunch of people to get last-minute pre-orders in. The thought is that a lot of these pre-orders will be digital, so they’ll play it immediately at midnight when the game launches just two hours after the show ends on the east coast.
THQ Nordic and All Elite Wrestling reportedly have a lot of marketing ready to roll over the next several weeks. Needless to say, it’s about to be a very exciting time for those who have been impatiently waiting for more information.
AEW Fight Forever will be available on June 29 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
