The TNT Championship will be on the line in a Ladder Match at AEW Double or Nothing.
TNT Champion Wardlow kicked off the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite to call out Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. After more back and forth on the mic, a brawl broke out, and Luchasaurus choke-slammed Wardlow onto a ladder. Cage then dropped the champion with the Killswitch on a ladder.
Later in the trainer’s room, Wardlow announced that he wants to play Cage’s game and offered to defend the TNT title at the upcoming pay-per-view in a Ladder match.
Wardlow won the title for the second time by defeating Powerhouse Hobbs on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite. Cage has had his sights set on Wardlow in recent weeks, and facing the former world champion will be one of Wardlow’s toughest tasks yet.
