Katana Chance And Kayden Carter Didn’t Think They Would Get Drafted

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter are now part of the RAW brand but they didn’t think they’d be drafted at all.

Busted Open Radio recently spoke with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter about their status in WWE after the 2023 Draft. Chance and Carter said it still feels surreal, and it’s a moment that they didn’t even think would happen.

Katana: “It’s just surreal. We’ve been working for this for so long, and together as a team as well, we’ve had the opportunity to stay together for so many years. It’s been four years now as a team. To be able to share this moment and finally be there, it doesn’t feel real yet.”

Kayden: “It’s only been a week, and it hasn’t kicked in yet.”

Asked if they knew they’d be moving up to the main roster, Katana Chance said they had no clue before the actual announcement.

Katana: “No. we actually were pretty sure it wasn’t happening. Not only did we not know, we thought we weren’t. Then especially when the women’s tag champs [Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre] got brought up, we were like, man, that’s probably the tag team that they’re taking. That’s it. Then the very last, at like 10:30 on Monday, and we’re at the watch party, they just said our names. We were like, ‘Wait, what’s happening? What brand did they even say? I blacked out.”
