All Elite Wrestling is reportedly set to make a major announcement in the near future.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery will announce a new TV rights deal at WBD’s upfront in New York City on May 17. Per Meltzer, the TV rights deal and previously reported AEW Collision show will be announced at the event.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast previously reported that the new deal will give Warner Bros. Discovery exclusivity with AEW’s in-ring programming. As a result, AEW ended the Dark and Dark: Elevation YouTube shows. Zarian and Meltzer noted that the deal does not include Ring of Honor programming.
Specific details, including the dollar amount of the new deal, are currently unclear.
