A lawsuit against WWE has been dismissed.
In February, Marvin Jackson sued WWE for hearing loss suffered from pyrotechnics at WWE WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. WWE then sent the case to arbitration due to the waiver than fans agree to at the point of sale.
Jackson requested the court to deny the motion for arbitration because he did not accept the terms and conditions set by WWE. He cited his nephew as the one who purchased the tickets, so he did not consent to the provisions, which included agreements to enter arbitration in the event of legal issues.
In an update, Judge Mark T. Pittman ruled on May 9 that WWE’s motion for arbitration was granted and the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning that Jackson cannot refile.
