Brian Kendrick was reportedly involved in the process of getting Bad Bunny ready for WWE Backlash.
Some reports indicated that Kendrick co-produced the match between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest at WWE Backlash. Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, that wasn’t the case, as Kendrick was not listed internally, and he did not produce the match. However, Sapp wrote that Kendrick helped Priest train Bad Bunny for the bout. WWE sources noted that everyone involved was confident with Bad Bunny’s training, and WWE higher-ups were “ectastic” with the way the match turned out.
Kendrick has had multiple runs with WWE over the years. He memorably teamed up with Paul London, and the duo held the WWE Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship. Kendrick later returned to WWE in 2014 and worked as a trainer.
He also had a run as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and he was a featured member of the 205 Live roster. Kendrick asked for his release, and it was granted on February 1, 2022.
