WWE superstars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were named as part of the 2023 Alumni Hall of Fame class for the Boys & Girls Club of America.
The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, May 4, 2023, saw nine people in total inducted into the class. The ceremony aims to honor people who represent themselves and their communities well. It also recognizes those who are seen as leaders and role models to the next generation of kids and teens.
“Every year, we are honored to welcome top industry leaders and professionals into our Alumni Hall of Fame during this special induction ceremony,” said Jim Clark, President & CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of America (via PWInsider). “On the heels of celebrating our 5,000th Boys & Girls Club milestone, we are reminded of the power of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission and the opportunity we have to shape the future with great leaders.
In a tweet, Woods shared a video of himself and Kingston walking with their plaques and blue Hall of Fame jackets. He called the moment “an incredible honor from an incredible organization.”
Woods and Kingston were selected by WWE RAW during the WWE Draft. They will aim to continue building their impressive resumes once the WWE Draft rosters take effect on May 8.
