Omos gives his thoughts on his Legion of Omosapiens.
In recent months, Omosapiens, the name for the followers of Omos have continued to grow in support of him. The Nigerian Giant commented on their support in a new interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri.
Omos says he refers to his fans as his legion and has nothing but love for them and the way they support him.
“There’s thousands. I call them my Legion. They always stand up for me. They’re always there when I need them—always cheering me on, good or bad. They have a genuine love for Omos, and I love them back. Those are my Legion. Those are my people. Those are people who put, as we like to say, put the battery in my backpack to go out there and kick people’s asses,” he said.
The Omosapiens will be in the corner of the Nigerian Giant when he faces Seth Rollins at WWE Backlash.
MVP spoke about the potential he sees in Omos during a recent interview with WrestleZone. MVP believes people need to recognize how talented his client is, noting that they won’t be able to deny it one day.
“No other giant in the WWE had all the tools that the ‘Nigerian Giant’ possesses. And I see people tend to be overly critical of him, but he’s only four years in, and in four years he’s facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and he’s 30 years old, so he’s got another 10, 15 years ahead of him career-wise. So, you’re seeing a baby Nigerian giant. And I can understand where a lot of people who aren’t as intellectually astute or sophisticated would be able to see all that Omos brings to the table and shame on them. In time, they won’t be able to not recognize the greatness of this Omos because one day, he’s going to be WWE Champion.”
