Charlotte Flair Comments On Taking Time Off From WWE After WrestleMania 39

Charlotte Flair hasn’t been seen since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.

SmackDown Superstar Charlotte Flair recently sat down with Sam Dunn of Boardroom to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about everything that’s been happening with her and WWE since WrestleMania 39, Flair said she isn’t worried about her position in the company despite the Endeavor announcement and that she’s currently taking time off from the company to get an injury taken care of.

“When it comes to the business side, I feel as a performer, my position isn’t gonna change,” Charlotte Flair said. “Maybe if I was brand new, but my job as a performer is just to make who’s behind the headphones and gorilla happy, and then the fans. I don’t really get wrapped up in what’s happening there, but the sale is a big deal. I’ll be interested to see what happens in the future with Endeavor.

“For me, I went from having never any off-days to getting injured last year after WrestleMania and being off for seven months, and then now off again for a couple weeks for something that I needed to take care of, so it’s a blessing and a curse. Like, no one wants to be injured, but having that first time off for that extended amount of time, I think was definitely healthy for my mindset.”

When asked if there’s anything on her bucket list that she hasn’t accomplished yet, Flair said at this point for her it’s just about getting to the next level of a John Cena or The Rock.

“I think now, it’s just getting to that next level,” Charlotte Flair said. “Like, I know that my name is popular within sports entertainment, but I wanna get to that male level of John Cena, The Rock, Batista still. I want to cross over like my dad has so gracefully, and I’ll continue to do that until I get to that point. I hate that I started so late in the game, but I’m here. I think that’s just a matter of time.”
