Jon Moxley Set To Return To NJPW At NJPW Dominion

Jon Moxley is coming to Japan, as he is set to return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

During the NJPW Wrestling Dontaku event on May 3, the company announced that Moxley will be at NJPW Dominion on June 4. On Wednesday, Moxley’s former protege, Shota Umino, confronted Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hiroshi Tanahashi after they won the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships. The broadcast team teased that Moxley, Umino, and a partner could challenge for the gold at NJPW Dominion.

Moxley’s match at NJPW Dominion is set to be his first time competing in Japan since February 2020. He has since competed at NJPW shows in the United States and defended the IWGP United States Championship on AEW programming.

Moxley is a former IWGP United States Champion. He previously competed in NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament in 2019. NJPW has also confirmed that Moxley will compete at the NJPW Resurgence event in California on May 21.

“The Purveyor of Violence” is signed to AEW, and he is currently featured as a member of Blackpool Combat Club. Moxley will face Kenny Omega in a Steel Cage match on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.
