Santos Escobar says he feels like he’s ready for the world title.
During the April 24 episode of WWE RAW, Triple H announced that WWE would crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the Night of Champions premium live event. Escobar, a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion, has been featured on WWE TV as a member of the LWO in recent weeks, and he has expressed his interest in the title.
Speaking on Under The Ring, Santos Escobar stated that he’s happy, and he feels motivated. He brought up the new championship and stated that he feels ready for it.
“I feel very happy, I’m on a very high note right now, and I’m just motivated,” Escobar said. “I just saw Triple H announce a new championship. I feel ready for that. That’s how high my note is right now.”
The interview was released before the completion of the WWE Draft, and Escobar was selected by WWE SmackDown alongside the rest of his LWO stablemates during the May 1 episode of WWE RAW. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be exclusive to WWE RAW, so at least for now, it seems like Escobar will be unable to contend for the gold.
