MLW Underground kicked off with a highlight package of Battle Riot V, which saw Alex Kane run the gauntlet to get the golden ticket to challenge for the MLW World Championship any place, any time.
In the arena, Alex Kane and the Bomaye Fight Club come out to the ring and receive a very positive reaction from the live crowd. Kane played it up in kind and said the Bomaye Fight Club is for the people and completes the babyface turn.
Kane issues an open challenge for Mr. Thomas and said anyone who can defeat him will get the bag of money he’s currently holding. Thomas said he’s tired of being overlooked, and there’s no one in the back that can beat him.
This brings out MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone to answer the challenge.
Alex Hammerstone defeated Mr. Thomas
- Alex Hammerstone blocks a chokeslam attempt from Mr. Thomas and hits Nightmare Pendulum to score the pinfall victory.
As Hammerstone celebrates with his prize money, this brings out The Calling, who remain on the stage. They send one masked goon at a time, and Hammerstone takes them out before they can get into the ring.
Before The Calling can do anything else, The Samoan Swat Team come out and attack them on the stage as both factions fought to the backstage area.
It’s announced that earlier on in the day at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Major League Wrestling held a press conference with Court Bauer, Alex Hammerstone, and Jacob Fatu, where it was revealed that on Saturday night, July 8, the company would return to the venue and go live with Never Say Never on Fite+ and the main event will be Alex Kane challenging Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

The Samoan SWAT Team defeated The Mane Event to retain the MLW World Tag Team Titles

It’s announced that MLW Fusion will return on May 25 on beIN Sports and will be the home of the 2023 Opera Cup tournament.
B3cca defeated Brittany Blake
- B3cca hit the World Tour on Brittany Blake to score the pinfall victory.
It’s announced that Delmi Exo has signed with Major League Wrestling; she’s interviewed backstage, where she says her goal is to win the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship.
They once again air a recap of how Alex Kane won Battle Riot V last week.
Backstage The Samoan SWAT Team is brawling with the FBI, no one is trying to separate the two teams, and the champions have the brawl well in hand.
The main event was scheduled to be Jacob Fatu challenging John Henningan for the MLW National Openweight Championship, but as Fatu made his way to the ring, he was attacked by The Calling, who laid him out.
