2023 WWE Draft: Rhea Ripley To RAW, Austin Theory To SmackDown

The 2023 WWE Draft continues to shake up the WWE roster in a number of ways.

The WWE Draft continued on the May 1 episode of WWE RAW. With the first pick, WWE RAW selected Rhea Ripley, the reigning SmakckDown Women’s Champion. RAW selected SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair on the first night of the WWE Draft on April 28. As of this writing, it’s unclear how the two brands will navigate having the opposite title.

Ripley wasn’t the only champion to move brands on Monday night, as SmackDown selected United States Champion Austin Theory. As with Belair, WWE RAW selected Intercontinental Champion Gunther on the first night of the draft.

Additionally, WWE RAW selected Seth Rollins, and SmackDown picked Charlotte Flair on Monday.

Before the first round began, Triple H announced that Brock Lesnar had renegotiated his deal, and he was ineligible for the WWE Draft, so he was a free agent that would be able to appear on both brands.
