AEW Rampage Results (4/28/23): Jay White, Jeff Jarrett, And More

All Elite Wrestling presented a star-studded episode of AEW Rampage at an early start time on April 28.

Friday’s episode kicked off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Among other bouts, Cash Wheeler faced Jay Lethal, and the duo of Juice Robinson and Jay White clashed with Ricky Starks and Shawn Spears.

The results are as follows:

Jay White & Juice Robinson vs. Shawn Spears & Ricky Starks

Spears and Starks charge the ring and take the fight to the Bullet Club Gold duo. Robinson fights back and sends Starks to the outside. The two teams brawl at ringside. Back in the ring, Starks chops Robinson and double-teams him with Spears. They isolate “Rock Hard”. Spears mockingly makes a finger-gun taunt at White and punches Robinson in the corner. White kicks Spears from behind, and Spears hits him, but Robinson takes the “Perfect 10” down.

White suplexes Spears on the apron. He attacks Spears at ringside while the referee is distracted. Robinson grounds Spears, and the Bullet Club duo firmly takes control. White mockingly blows Starks a kiss and maintains the advantage. “Switchblade” blasts Starks with a cheap shot. Spears rallies and tags Starks. The former FTW Champion clears house with a flurry of offense. Starks sends White to the outside. He superplexes Robinson, and Spears gets a two count with a splash. Robinson counters the C4 by raking White’s eyes. White tags in, but Spears drops him with a spinebuster. Spears goes for the C4, but White hits him with the Bladerunner for the win.

Winners: Jay White & Juice Robinson

Robinson and Starks brawl after the match. “Rock Hard” escapes, and White tells Starks he owns the ring. Starks goes to chase the duo, but the referee holds him back.

Backstage, HOOK is standing by with Matt and Jeff Hardy. Lexy Nair notes that Isiah Kassidy is missing, and Matt accuses The Firm. Stokely Hathaway and Lee Moriarty appear on the video screen and reveal that they beat Kassidy up at Applebee’s. The camera pans to show Big Bill and Ethan Page beating up Kassidy. Page says The Firm Deletion match will be next week on Rampage; if not, they’ll hurt Kassidy. Matt agrees to have the match next week, but Big Bill slams Kassidy over a high platform.

Naturally Limitless (Keith Lee & Dustin Rhodes) vs. Brady Pierce & Charlie James

Rhodes and Lee control the match early on. Lee overpowers James and throws Rhodes into their opponents. Rhodes clotheslines Pierce out of the ring, and Lee hits James with the Spirit Bomb for the win.

Winners: Naturally Limitless (Keith Lee & Dustin Rhodes)

Mogul Embassy (Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Toa Liona, Kaun, and Prince Nana) come to the stage and stare down Rhodes and Lee.

Lexy Nair interviews Sammy Guevara. but Tay Melo interrupts and says MJF is not Sammy’s friend. She asks Guevara what he’s doing with MJF, as his biggest dream is to be the world champion, but he has agreed to lie down for MJF at AEW Double or Nothing. Melo storms off.

Anna Jay A.S. vs. Ashley D’Amboise

Jay and D’Amboise feel each other out, and D’Amboise gains the upper hand. Jay takes control and wrenches D’Amboise’s back over the ring post. The J.A.S. member grounds D’Amboise and dominates the match before she eventually locks in the Queen-Slayer and makes her tap out.

Winner: Anna Jay A.S.

The lights go out after the match, and Julia Hart is in the ring when they come back on. She attacks Jay and smashes her head on the ground. They continue to brawl until officials separate them.

In a promo, The Outcasts (Saraya, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho) target Britt Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter. Saraya reveals that she will face Willow Nightingale on AEW Rampage.

The Acclaimed & “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn vs. Ryzin, Cameron Stewart & Dante Casanova

On his way to the ring, Caster raps and drops a line about Ron DeSantis. Within seconds, Gunn hits the Fameasser, Bowens hits the Arrival, and Caster gets the win with the Mic Drop.

Winners: The Acclaimed & “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn

The broadcast team runs through the matches that have been announced for next week.

Jay Lethal (with Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh) vs. Cash Wheeler (with Dax Harwood)

Mark Briscoe is at ringside as the special guest enforcer. Lethal and Harwood feel each other out, and they’re evenly matched early on. Wheeler dodges a Lethal Injection and hits Lethal with a back body drop. Lethal takes control with an abdominal stretch and has the upper hand for a few minutes. Wheeler rallies and gets a two count with a roll-up. Dutt tries to interfere, but Briscoe stops him. Wheeler counters a diving elbow drop, and he sends Lethal flying with a monkey flip. He drills Lethal with some punches. Wheeler hits a powerslam and spikes Lethal with a DDT. Lethal counters a piledriver and hits Wheeler with the Lethal Combination. Wheeler counters the Lethal Injection and slams Lethal face-first into the mat. Dutt distracts the referee, and Briscoe gets in his face. Lethal shoves Wheeler into Briscoe and hits the Lethal Injection for the win.

Winner: Jay Lethal
