Booker T sees big things in Grayson Waller‘s future.
Waller has become one of NXT‘s top stars in recent months; he has been featured since the 2.0 revamp in 2021, and he has gradually climbed the ladder into the main-event scene. In his latest high-profile match, Waller unsuccessfully challenged Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at NXT Spring Breakin’. With the WWE Draft set to begin on the April 28 of WWE SmacKDown, fans are speculating about potential call-ups for some of NXT’s standouts.
Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, NXT commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was asked to name which NXT star he could see getting the call-up to the main roster, and he named Grayson Waller.
“It’s hard to say who will be drafted from one side to the other,” Booker T said. “I can tell you this for me when I was part of the draft in WWE I actually got traded from Raw to SmackDown, I took it personally. I felt shunned. I then thought I would take this show to another level. That is when it became Booker’s SmackDown kingdom.
” I can’t speak about what will happen, but if we’re talking about one person in NXT I can see going to the main [roster] and making a splash. It’s Grayson Waller.”
Fans will have to wait and see which NXT stars will get called up to the main roster in the WWE Draft. WrestleZone will have coverage of the draft as it plays out on WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown.
