Pillars Tournament Ends In A DQ, Tag Match Set For 5/3 AEW Dynamite

The Four Pillars tournament is not quite over.

During the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara battled Darby Allin to determine who would challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW Double or Nothing. This came after Guevara beat “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry on April 19 to advance.

At the end of Guevara vs. Allin, MJF handed Allin his skateboard, prompting Guevara to pretend like he got struck. The referee ultimately called for the bell and awarded the victory — and the Double or Nothing title match — to Guevara.

Perry ran down and made the save for Allin before Tony Schiavone announced that MJF and Guevara will now face Allin and Perry in a tag team match next week. If Allin and Perry win, they will officially be added to the world title bout to make it a Four Pillars four-way in Las Vegas.

As it currently stands, below is the updated lineup for AEW Double or Nothing on May 28:

  • AEW World Championship: MJF (c) vs. Sammy Guevara
  • Owen Hart Cup opening ceremonies

WrestleZone will have complete coverage of the pay-per-view as it airs.
