Two major matches have been added to WWE Backlash; Seth Rollins will take on Omos, and Austin Theory will defend the WWE United States Championship.
During the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown, a handful of matches were announced for the premium live event. Though the two stars have not been feuding in recent weeks, WWE revealed that Seth Rollins will face Omos at the show. Rollins is coming off a victory over Logan Paul at WWE WrestleMania 39, whereas Omos lost to Brock Lesnar at the show.
WWE also confirmed that Austin Theory will defend his United States Championship against Bronson Reed and Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat Match. The three-way clash comes just a few days after Theory faced Lashley on the April 17 episode of WWE RAW. That bout came to an end after Reed interfered and left Lashley lying with a brutal assault.
The updated card for WWE Backlash is as follows
- The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa & The Usos) vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Matt Riddle
- Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
- WWE SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Zelina Vega
- WWE United States Championship: Austin Theory (c) vs. Bronson Reed vs. Bobby Lashley
- Seth Rollins vs. Omos
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE Backlash as it airs on May 6.
