Becky Lynch generated some buzz when she tweeted that she wouldn’t be at the April 17 episode of WWE RAW, and a new report shines some light on the situation.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Lynch was initially set to be at WWE RAW on April 17 as of the previous week, but sources noted that there are “no issues to their knowledge between Becky Lynch and WWE.” Lynch has reportedly been dealing with a minor foot injury, which was recently exacerbated.
Sapp also reported that Lynch signed a new deal with WWE when she returned in 2021, and the time she missed when she was on maternity was not a factor. The three-year contract is currently set to expire in June 2024, and sources indicated that the two sides have not entered negotiations yet.
Additionally, Sapp noted that several other deals are up in 2024, as the company previously signed a number of talent to four-year deals.
