Joey Janela names his terms for potentially working with CM Punk.
The wrestling world continues to buzz about Punk’s potential return to All Elite Wrestling. The former AEW World Champion has been absent since he was suspended for his role in “Brawl Out”, the fight between Punk and The Elite after Punk’s comments about them at the AEW All Out post-show press conferences. Reports about Punk’s return are swirling, with one from Fightful Select indicating that the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite could be the tentative date.
Amid the speculation and the discourse, Janela had some fun with the situation. In a tweet on April 17, he stated that he’ll work with Punk under the condition that “The Second City Saint” must watch every Rocky movie in a row, including the Creed franchise, and livestream it like Shia LaBeouf watching his own films.
The tweet was an apparent nod to Punk’s Instagram post in which he photoshopped his face on Rocky Balboa’s body after he previously noted that he had never seen a Rocky movie.
Janela then stated that he’s talk to GCW owner Brett Lauderdale, as he claimed that he would let “him “The Bad Boy” take off some Saturdays, an apparent nod to the report that AEW’s looming Saturday show could be centered around Punk.
