Deonna Purrazzo Comments On Knockouts Title Win At Rebellion

Deonna Purrazzo is bringing back the Age of the Virtuosa.

Shortly after she won the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at Rebellion, Deonna Purrazzo had the following comments about regaining the title:

“I’ve told you all… I’ve told you all since I stepped foot into IMPACT Wrestling that this Knockouts World Championship belonged with The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo. And Jordynne Grace, she just can’t defeat me,” Purrazzo stated. “Let me be the first to welcome you all back to the Age of the Virtuosa. Long may she reign.”

Purrazzo is now a three-time IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion. Her second reign as champion lasted 343 days, which is the second-longest single Knockouts title reign ever.

During a prior appearance on Women’s Wrestling Talk, Deonna Purrazzo was asked who she thinks is her biggest threat in the Knockouts division. Purrazzo named Masha Slamovich as the name she has her eye on.

“I think Masha Slamovich must be in that conversation,” Deonna Purrazzo admitted. “I think that, you know, she went undefeated for most of the entire year. We’ve we saw her in Jordynne near kill each other over the Knockouts World Championship, and then again in the rematch in a last knockout standing.

“So, I think that Masha must be in that conversation because she is just taking it to another level. In terms of what she brings to the table, but then in terms of what defines a knockout, and I think that’s what makes our division so special, it’s just that we continue to evolve. We are continuing to up the ante in terms of the platform that Impact gives us and what we do with that, so yeah, it’s got to be Masha.”
