Ring of Honor Results – April 13, 2023

Ring of Honor Wrestling on HonorClub kicks off with a match between Mark Briscoe and Ari Daivari.

Mark Briscoe defeated Ari Daivari

  • After the referee rejected the rest of The Varsity Athletes from ringside, Mark Briscoe was able to hit the Jay Driller on Ari Daivari to score the pinfall victory.

The Varsity Athletes returned to the ring to attack Mark Briscoe, but FTR arrived to clean house and make the save for Briscoe.

Eddie Kingston announces that he’s been dealing with a hernia injury since September but is just figuring that out now. He admits that he didn’t stick to the game plan against Claudio Castagnoli at Supercard of Honor. Kingston said he’s likely going to need surgery for the hernia injury, and he blames that on Castagnoli. Kingston reveals he’s still under contract with All Elite Wrestling despite working for Ring of Honor right now.

Kingston said he forgot the lesson he learned when he wrestled Cody Rhodes, you lose, and you learn. He said he learned in the match against Castagnoli and that he will move forward. He said without struggle, there is no progress.

Skye Blue defeated Kelly Madan

  • Skye Blue hit Sky Fall on Kelly Madan to score the pinfall victory.

Darius Martin defeated Mike Bennett

  • Mike Bennett was disqualified when Matt Taven got physically involved in the match.

The double team from The Kingdom continued after the match until Action Andretti arrived to save Darius Martin.

Wheeler Yuta defeated Tracy Williams

  • Wheeler Yuta makes Tracy Williams pass out in the Dragon Sleeper to earn the submission victory.

We hear from Darius Martin and Action Andretti backstage, who challenge The Kingdom to a tag team match next week.

Ring of Honor Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata and Alex Coughlin defeated The Workhorsemen

  • Katsuyori Shibata hit the PK on Anthony Henry to score the pinfall victory for his team.

After the match, Alex Coughlin challenges Katsuyori Shibata to a match for the Pure Championship, and Shibata seems to accept the challenge.

Willow Nightingale defeated Little Mean Kathleen

  • Willow Nightingale hit The Stampede on Little Mean Kathleen to score the pinfall victory.

Stu Grayson defeated Tony Nese

  • Stu Grayson hit Night Fall on Tony Nese to pick up the win.

Dutch and Vincent of The Righteous come out on the stage and stare down Stu Grayson, completely ignoring Evil Uno in the process.

We hear from The Righteous backstage, Vincent said The Dark Order is powerful but they have become a shell of themselves. Vincent claims The Dark Order moved on when Stu Grayson left as if nothing happened. Dutch said they don’t want to hurt Grayson, they want to keep him.

Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena defeated Ashley D’Amboise in a Proving Grounds match

  • Athena hit the O-Face on Ashley D’Amboise to score the pinfall victory.

Ashley D’Amboise is interviewed backstage following the match. She said she was expecting more honor with this company but she got anger instead. Athena shows up and attacks D’Amboise and said if Ring of Honor doesn’t start giving her a challenge instead of these “porcelain trash bag hussies,” she’s doing to attack the interviewer. Athena placed her title on a crate and slammed D’Amboise’s head off of it.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Metalik to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship

  • Claudio Castagnoli hits the Neutralizer on Metalik to remain the Ring of Honor World Champion.
