Road Dogg Recalls Shane McMahon Wanting To Confront Brock Lesnar After WrestleMania 34

Shane McMahon is never one to back down from a fight, even if it was against someone like Brock Lesnar.

On the latest episode of the Oh… You Didn’t Know? Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg was asked about the situation following WrestleMania 34 when Brock Lesnar tossed the WWE Championship at Vince McMahon when he returned to the backstage area.

“I don’t really know. I honestly don’t,” Road Dogg admitted. “What I remember of that is I almost got hit by the title like it showed; he threw the title across me to Vince. And everybody kind of stood up like, ‘What the crap was that?’ And so I don’t know. I didn’t really know what went down then. And I wasn’t about to go after Brock to find out.”

Not only was Vince McMahon hot about the incident, but Road Dogg revealed his son Shane McMahon was hot at the situation too and wanted to go after Lesnar before he was able to talk him down.

“But I remember Shane, being in gorilla and being hot and trying to go after Brock,” Road Dogg recalled. “And I said, ‘Hey, let’s let it go. Let it go. Let it go.’ You know what I mean? Like, let’s just stay right here, and all keep our teeth.”

When asked if he thought Lesnar was aiming for him or Vince, Road Dogg was certain that he was aiming for Mr. McMahon and even did so in a way where it wouldn’t hurt him either.

“So he was aiming for Vince,” Road Dogg said. “And he’s a good aim. He’s got a good aim. Good throw. He had a good rotation on the title. But one of those straps almost caught me right in the mug. But yeah, he was aiming it. He aimed it to Vince. He didn’t aim it at him. You know what I mean? Like it landed in front of him on the desk, it was safe. He could have hit all of us if he wanted to.

“And honestly, I actually didn’t know if it was a work or not because nobody said a word and nobody did anything. Because sometimes they would do things with each other and then laugh about it later, and you go like, ‘Oh, I almost got killed in the crossfire that I don’t appreciate that.’ But so you don’t know. You know what I mean? I don’t know. I do remember Shane was hot and wanted to go, and he didn’t. He ended up not going, so maybe he knew something I didn’t know.”
