Matt Riddle is back, and he’s teasing that he wants to highlight a different side of himself on WWE TV.
“The Original Bro” had been absent since the December 5, 2022 episode of WWE RAW, where Solo Sikoa took him out with an attack. Riddle returned on the April 3 episode and confronted The Miz. The former RAW Tag Team Champion got the best of The Miz in a brief brawl and stood tall.
In a WWE RAW vlog, Riddle shared his thoughts ahead of his return and noted that he wants to lean more into his background as a fighter.
“Before I left, I beat Seth [Rollins] in a Fight Pit match in the main event of Extreme Rules. Instead of keeping that vibe on, I kind of went back into goofy Riddle mode, and I feel like this time around, I’m still me, I’m always gonna be me, but I want to bring a more serious side, too.
“I’ve been working out a lot and training a lot of jiu-jitsu, I just got my black belt. I want to really showcase my skills and my expertise and show the world I’m also one of the top fighters in the world and can take anybody on in this company.”
