Several matches, including a title bout, have been made official for the April 12 episode of AEW Dynamite.
During the April 7 episode of AEW Rampage, it was announced that Chris Jericho will take on Keith Lee on the April 12 episode of Dynamite in Milwaukee. This comes after the two were involved in a backstage confrontation on April 5.
Additionally, Darby Allin will take on Swerve Strickland following the events on the April 7 episode of AEW Rampage, where Strickland aligned with The Embassy, setting up Allin to be attacked by Brian Cage.
Elsewhere on the show, Orange Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against Buddy Matthews. Cassidy retained the title against Dralistico on AEW Battle of the Belts VI, and Buddy Matthews challenged him to a match after the bell. Matthews is one-third of the House of Black, and the group defeated Cassidy and Best Friends to retain the AEW World Trios Championship on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Lastly, The Elite’s feud with Blackpool Combat Club will continue when Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa face Jon Moxley and Castagnoli. The BCC has taken out the core members of The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) with multiple attacks in recent weeks. During AEW Battle of the Belts VI, Cutler was asked about the situation, and he stated that the people who usually stand up to bullies weren’t there, so he and Nakazawa had to step up.
