MVP Offers His Advice To Up-And-Coming Talent

MVP shares his formula for success.

With two decades of experience, MVP has worked with a who’s who in professional wrestling. Since returning to WWE in 2020, he’s managed several WWE stars and is currently aligned with Omos on WWE Raw. The duo recently shopped for sneakers with Cool Kicks, and MVP was asked if he had any advice for those trying to make it in the business.

“I say this, man, as somebody who came up rough, impoverished background. I spent nine and a half years in prison. I lived all of that rough life,” MVP said, “and then I decided I wanted to become a professional wrestler. I put my heart and soul into it. I made sacrifices, and I had a laser beam-like focus. My philosophy was I wasn’t going to allow anyone to tell me what I could or could not do.

“There were people that said, ‘Hey, how’s that wrestling thing working out for you,’ mocking me. Now those people, their kids play with my action figures.” MVP added, “So if you believe in yourself, you can accomplish virtually anything you want to do, but you have to have a laser beam-like focus. You have to make the sacrifices, live it, eat it, sleep it, drink it, and I’ll see you at the top.”
