Matt Hardy offers an update on Jeff Hardy and says he’s doing well after he recently had surgery.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the AEW star offered an update on his brother after pictures of Jeff in the aftermath of eye surgery started making the rounds on Twitter. Matt noted that Jeff won’t be physically cleared for a few weeks, but he believes his brother is very happy with his life now.
“He just had some eye surgery, and he’s recovering,” Matt said. “Probably a few weeks out from being fully physically cleared. But hopefully, sooner than later, he’ll be up for doing stuff physical again. He did sneak away with his family and go on a little vacation for a few days, which is nice. He’s in a real good place in life. I think he’s very happy where he’s at. It makes me very proud of him, and it also fills me with joy that he’s happy with where he’s at in life.”
Jeff Hardy remains absent from AEW following his DUI arrest in June 2022; following the incident, he was suspended indefinitely, with the announcement noting that he would be permitted to return upon completion of substance abuse treatment. The case was marked closed in February.
Matt Hardy recently discussed Jeff’s potential return to wrestling. Check out his comments here.
