AEW has reportedly made a big backstage hire.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, former WWE Vice President of Communications Adam Hopkins is joining the company. His exact title is unclear, but Hopkins has plenty of experience on the PR side of the business. Sources noted that Hopkins started at the March 29 episode of AEW, and he is on the road for the company.
Hopkins had a lengthy run with WWE; dating back to 1997, he was with the company for over 25 years, which was a record-setting tenure. He departed WWE in January 2023. During his time with the company, he had several roles, including Manager of Media Relations, Director of Communications and Senior Manager, Public Relations and Corporate Communication. Hopkins had a vital role in handling media requests, and he was credited with helping reconnect WWE with the media. Hopkins was also an important player in the building of BXT during Triple H’s tenure leading the brand.
