Tony Khan: AEW Is ‘Considering’ A Multi-Day Signature Event

AEW CEO Tony Khan says the company is considering a multi-day event, similar to WWE’s signature show, WrestleMania.

Since AEW launched in 2019, the company has run single-day pay-per-view events. The schedule initially consisted of AEW Double or Nothing, All Out, Full Gear, and Revolution. Forbidden Door, crossover show with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, joined the lineup in 2022.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Khan was asked about the possibility of holding a multi-day event like WrestleMania. He noted that they’re considering it, as the company could hold one event across a weekend or even multiple shows throughout a week.

“We could do one event spanning a weekend and we could also do multiple events across a week,” says Khan. “It’s something we’re considering, especially as we keep entering so many new debut markets. We’re looking forward to expanding and holding more huge events.”

AEW’s next pay-per-view, AEW Double or Nothing 2023, is set for May 28. It will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada
