WWE SmackDown Viewership Increases On 3/31 (Updated)

WWE SmackDown viewership increased on March 31.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 2.484 million viewers tuned in, which is up from last week, when 2.219 million viewers watched the show.

SmackDown scored a 0.69 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, which marks an increase from the March 24 episode (0.58 rating in the same demographic). SmackDown ranked third in the demographic on Friday; coverage of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship placed first overall.

Wrestlenomics noted that the viewership for the March 31 episode marked SmackDown’s highest since January 27, and the highest demographic rating since Christmas 2020, when the show had a NFL lead-in.

This week’s episode was the go-home show ahead of WWE WrestleMania 39; it featured the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and a final faceoff between Cody Rhodes and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Update: Wrestlenomics reported updated numbers after Nielsen reprocessed viewership for the March 31 episode due to some FOX markets preempting SmackDown for storm coverage. The updated viewership showed that SmackDown averaged 2.373 million viewers with a 0.66 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.
