Omos On Facing Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 39: I’ve Been Groomed For This

Omos expresses his confidence and his gratitude ahead of his match with Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 39.

“The Nigerian Giant” competed in his first WrestleMania singles match in 2022; he lost to Bobby Lashley at WWE WrestleMania 38. One year later, he will compete in arguably the biggest match of his career when he faces former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39 Night Two.

In an interview with Daniel Cormier of ESPN, Omos was asked whether the high-profile match against Lesnar was unexpected, and he responded by stating that he has been groomed for this moment.

“I don’t think it was unexpected, I think I’ve been groomed for this moment and I’ve been ready for this moment for most of my career,” Omos said. “I had in mind, there were a couple of guys that, before this time was up, I need to face at least one of them. He happens to be one of them. Just to be in that ring, I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity and I’m happy to be the guy who whoops his ass,:

Omos then thanked his fans for their support and described how it has been cool to see the evolution of the “Omosapiens”, a particularly passionate group of supports.

“SHOUTOUT TO THE OMOSAPIENS!! It’s pretty cool to watch it evolve,” Omos said. “It’s pretty much become it’s own thing and I didn’t even know where it came from. I can’t take credit for creating that. I just saw a group of individuals who admire what I do and they call themselves the Omosapiens, which is very catchy, and I said, ‘Since they embrace me, I’m going to embrace them.”(Transcription credit of Jeremy Lambert of Fightful).

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE WrestleMania 39 Night Two as it airs on April 2.
