Bayley Believes Mercedes Moné Is Showing Wrestlers That They Can Be Successful Outside Of WWE

Bayley misses Mercedes Moné with her in WWE but is proud that she’s out there living her dreams.

RAW Superstar Bayley was a recent guest on The Masked Man Show to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the former Sasha Banks, Mercedes Moné, Bayley admitted how much she misses having her in WWE but is also so proud she is to see her out there living her dream.

“Yeah, I was just texting her today or yesterday, and I was like, ‘Man, I miss having you here.’ Like I miss her in this environment,” Bayley admitted. “I miss her for the biggest show of the year because she’s who I feed off of for inspiration or ideas or just you could vent to, and I know I could trust her the most.

“But at the same time, I’m like, what she’s doing. She is carving a new path. She’s following her craziest dreams. She’s doing literally on her own she’s doing — you don’t have the WWE banner behind you the WWE flag.

“She’s doing everything she ever wanted so successfully, and to me, that’s inspiring. And I’m like, alright, if she can do that on her own, I can be here without her, and I’ll be okay. Like, you start to feel sorry for yourself. I need her. I have ideas, and I don’t know who to talk to.”

When thinking about her upcoming match at WrestleMania 39, Bayley said she wishes that Moné was in this match with her because her dream opponent has always been Trish Stratus.

“I’m so grateful for her. I wouldn’t be in this position if it wasn’t for her.,” Bayley confessed. “But seeing her do all that and seeing her so happy, and she’s so happy for me. In a weird way, I wish she was in this match because her dream match has been Trish Stratus, and she may get it someday.

“But I’m like, ‘Man, I want you here,’ but she’s like, ‘Dude, this is the coolest thing ever. This is one of the biggest matches of your career, if not the biggest.’ So she’s there for me, and I’m there for her, and it’s the best.”

When it was brought up that they think Moné is on a similar path to what Cody Rhodes was on before returning to WWE, Bayley admitted that she’d love it if she’d eventually come back, but if she doesn’t, it’s fine because she wants her to be happy.

“I’ve said in past interviews, I always hope that she’ll come back, and if she does or doesn’t, that’s fine because what you’re doing is whatever makes her happy,” Bayley said. “But I think she’s definitely showing people there’s more, and there’s other ways.

“There were a lot of releases in the past, and Dakota [Kai] was one of them like if you get released, there’s so much more you could do, and now there’s STARDOM and New Japan, so you can go other avenues and be successful and be all over wrestling globally. And you can show people that don’t get hired off their tryouts, like, okay, but you can go over there and still be successful and have amazing matches.

“Or if WWE isn’t your thing, you can go over there and do that, and there’s amazing women that you can wrestle or men. I think she’s just showing them that it’s gonna be okay. You don’t have to be in one place to feel like you succeeded. She just doing so much I can talk about her this whole hour.”
