Carmella has noticeably been absent on the road to WrestleMania 39.
The RAW Superstar was reportedly scheduled to team with Chelsea Green at WrestleMania in the women’s four-way tag team showcase match. However, after Green qualified with Sonya Deville on WWE RAW this week instead, speculation began to mount about Carmella’s WWE status.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), a WWE source has informed him that Carmella is currently “sidelined” from the ring. But recent reports suggesting that she has heat right now were labeled “ridiculous” by multiple WWE sources.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion hasn’t competed since losing a ten-woman tag match on March 12 at a WWE Live Event in Madison Square Garden.
Despite being sidelined, Carmella is in Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39 week. The Princess of Staten Island was seen at an LA Angels game last night alongside fellow WWE RAW Superstars IYO SKY and Bobby Lashley. You can check out those images in the embedded tweet below:
