John Cena will kick off WWE WrestleMania 39.
During the March 25 episode of WWE SmackDown, the broadcast team announced that Cena’s match with Austin Theory will open the first night of WrestleMania 39. Cena will challenge Theory for the WWE United States Championship at the show.
Cena, a 16-time world champion, returned to WWE on the March 6 episode of WWE RAW, and Theory challenged him to a match. Though Cena initially refused, he eventually accepted the challenge.
