Taya Valkyrie says farewell to IMPACT Wrestling… for now.
Taya Valkyrie signed with AEW as of Wednesday, March 15, 2023. As a result of her starting a new chapter of her career, she has once again departed IMPACT Wrestling. This time, she was not arrested on her way out. Instead, she was pulled into a casket by a mysterious hand as she was trying to comfort Jessicka on the March 23 episode of IMPACT.
Following her character’s final appearance, Valkyrie took to her Instagram account to give thanks to those she’s worked with, saying “see you soon” on her own terms.
Well, what can I say. To the men and women of @impactwrestling, you’ve been such an enormous part of life for the last 6 years. You’ve all had such a huge part in picking me up when I’m down, being my biggest cheerleaders and truly proving that sometimes, family is chosen. I love each and everyone of you. Thank you for welcoming me back, thank you for helping me rediscover myself when I was truly broken and allowing me to just be me. Death DoIlz, our bond is one that can never be broken. The last year with you two has been a highlight of my career and I owe you both the world. It’s not goodbye, it’s just see you all down the road. -Kira
Valkyrie will be in action against Leila Gray on the March 25 episode of AEW Rampage.
