Adam Cole will return to the ring on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, and his opponent has been confirmed.
Cole has not wrestled since AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2022, as he has been recovering from two head injuries. While Cole returned on the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, the March 29 episode of Dynamite will mark his first match since June. He later announced that he would wrestle again on the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.
During the March 22 episode, Cole came to the ring and looked forward to his looming return to action. Despite his long road back, however, Cole said he’s never been more ready to compete and do what he loves to do, which is wrestle for All Elite Wrestling.
Daniel Garcia interrupted and indirectly challenged Cole to face him in his return match by interrupting his promo. Garcia recalled some of the major wins he has notched while Cole was on the shelf and seemed ready to add Cole to the list. Cole accepted the challenge, setting the stage for his long-awaited return.
Currently, no other matches have been announced for the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, but the broadcast team noted that more will be added to the show during the March 25 episode of AEW Rampage.
The announced card for the March 29 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
- Adam Cole vs. Daniel Garcia
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
