The hit ABC game show, Wheel of Fortune announced that March 27-31 will be known as WWE Week as part of WrestleMania Hollywood week.
The show will be hosting multiple superstars throughout the week for a Wheel of Fortune Tournament. Each day will have four different superstars alongside WWE superfans in hopes of winning the ultimate WrestleMania VIP experience.
Superstars to be featured are Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, The New Day (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E), Austin Theory, The Miz, Bayley, Liv Morgan, Sonya Deville, Natalya & Carmella!
Multiple superstars such as RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, United States Champion Austin Theory and more posted pictures of them on the Wheel of Fortune set last month.
We spoke to WWE superfan and wrestling memorabilia collector Mike, known as Fig Heel across social media, about his experience being a lifelong WWE fan while appearing on the classic TV show Wheel of Fortune with WWE superstars!
“Being on the show with the WWE superstars was an experience unlike any other. Woods was the best tag team partner I could imagine – we spent a lot of time strategizing as well as brainstorming phrases, handshakes & poses,” Mike said. “He pulled back the curtain a bit and explained his process of coming up with what he called ‘GIF-worthy ideas’ in order to stay always topical.
“It was great seeing how these superstars work and really put their all into everything – even b-roll footage that will never be seen! It was a long day – 14 hours and they were ON every minute of the day. Especially Big E. I’m pretty sure that guy doesn’t have an ‘off’ switch. At the end of the day it was an honor to be a part of such a historical week for such a historical show from American pop culture,” Mike added. “You only get one chance to be on Wheel of Fortune IF you are lucky and considering I was part of the first-ever WWE Week, something I’m so passionate about, I’d say I’m pretty damn lucky!”
