Charlotte Flair expresses her interest in being on-camera with Andrade El Idolo.
Flair married Idolo in May 2022; the duo had been together since 2019, when they were both working for WWE. Andrade reportedly asked for his release in March 2022, and WWE ultimately granted it. He subsequently moved to AEW, and he has been with the company ever since.
Speaking with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, Flair was asked whether she hopes to have a reunion “with Andrade and WWE” at some point in the future.
“I hope so, yes,” Flair said. “As long as he’s happy. I just wanna be on camera with him at some point.”
As far as a potential timetable for that potential scenario, Flair stated that there’s no way to put an accurate timetable on anything in wrestling, but she hopes to work with him sooner rather than later.
“Wherever that ends up? Do I think there’s a timetable? I don’t think you can put a timetable in wrestling,” she said. “I mean, look at Lita and Trish being back how many years later. I’d like to be with him sooner rather than later, but it’s just whatever, you know, destiny holds for us.”
Andrade reportedly got into a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara in October 2022, and he has been out of action with a torn pectoral since AEW All Out 2022.
Flair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 39.
