Solo Sikoa: I Won’t Run Away From Something I Was Born To Do

Solo Sikoa is enjoying a dominant run on the WWE main roster as part of The Bloodline since being called up from NXT.

The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa recently sat down with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about following his brothers and other relatives into the professional wrestling business, Sikoa said it was something he believes he was born to do.

“I’m supposed to be here,” Solo Sikoa said. “I’m not going to run away from something I was born to do. Roman was born to be champion. The Usos were born to be the greatest tag-team champions. We were born to do this. Now we’re doing it for real.”

Sikoa has been positioned as the enforcer for The Bloodline. In recent months, has adapted his in-ring style to imitate the late Umaga, who was seen as a second father to the Uso brothers.

“It’s my job to show I can hold my own,” Solo Sikoa said. “I’m with my family, so that makes it a whole lot easier. The heavy machinery, the juggernaut, that’s who I am. I want that fight—anytime, anywhere. Umaga wasn’t scared to fight anyone. Neither am I.”

The life of a WWE Superstar can be a difficult one, but Sikoa has embraced his life on the road.

“We spend more time on the freeways than we do at home,” Solo Sikoa said. “We spend more time at the airport. This is the deep end. That’s this life. You’re going to feel every punch. Every kick, every Samoan drop. This is my life.”
