Lita: I Want To Elevate The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Lita talks about what goals she has left in WWE.

Lita has not been a full-time WWE Superstar since 2006. Her last match as a full-time competitor was at WWE Survivor Series 2006, where she lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Mickie James. Since then, Lita has sporadically returned for one-off appearances but recently became a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Becky Lynch on the February 27 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Now, the WWE Hall of Famer has appeared on the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump and talked about what she feels she has left to accomplish, saying that she’s hoping to elevate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. She’s open to fighting anyone that wants to fight for them.

“Here we are, I’m doing it. I will say, since these tag titles have been introduced, I’ve loved to see the possibilities with them, and for whatever reason, there’s been some stutter stepping along the way. I would love to continue and help elevate these and fight anyone that wants to because there’s so many talented women to see partnerships between them. I would love to see the tag division flourish,” she said.

For now, Lita will not be defending the WWE women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. Instead, she will have her first WrestleMania match in over two decades when she teams with Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch to go against all members of Damage CTRL.
