Former Major League Wrestling star EJ Nduka could soon have his pick of promotions, as a recent report indicates that multiple companies are looking to sign the superstar.
Nduka, a former football player and bodybuilder, signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2019, but the company released him in May 2019. He then signed with MLW and made his debut in the 2021 Battle Riot. Nduka went on to win the MLW World Tag Team Championship with Calvin Tankman, and he was one of the promotion’s featured stars until he left the company following the expiration of his contract in January 2023. Nduka subsequently worked the January 28 taping of AEW Dark.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select confirms the Wrestling Observer’s previous report that AEW offered him a contract after this match, and he is now evaluating his options. Sapp noted that “some contact” with WWE has been part of that process, but the specifics of the situation are unclear. The report also notes that there has been “heavy interest” out of Mexico and Japan, with “one Mexican company” offering Nduka a contract.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
