Ring of Honor Results – March 2, 2023

Ring of Honor immediately kicks off with a match between Mark Briscoe and Slim J.

Mark Briscoe defeated Slim J

  • Mark Briscoe hit the Jay Driller on Slim J to secure the pinfall victory.

Tony Deppen is interviewed backstage, and it is revealed that he will face Samoa Joe next week for the Ring of Honor Television Championship. Deppen declares he will do the unthinkable and defeat Joe next week by pinfall or submission and cement his legacy in Ring of Honor history.

The Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) w/ Maria Kanellis defeated The Infantry (Shawn Dean and Charlie Bravo)

  • The Kingdom hit The Proton Pack on The Infantry to score the pinfall victory.

There is a hype package featuring Zack Sabre Jr. and Blake Christian talking up their match for the NJPW Television Title. That match is up next!

Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Blake Christian to retain the NJPW Television Championship

  • Zack Sabre Jr. retains his title defeating Blake Christian via submission.

Backstage Mark Sterling and Ari Daivari inform Konsuke Takeshita that Josh Woods isn’t interested in facing him tonight and offered him money to decline the match. Takeshita tears up the contract instead and walks away. The match is still on.

We see Christopher Daniels backstage who makes it clear that he’s part of the Ring of Honor roster and he’s in action next.

Christopher Daniels defeated Rohit Raju

  • Christopher Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever on Rohit Raju to score the pinfall victory.

Rhett Titus and Tracy Williams are interviewed backstage, Titus says he spent his entire career in Ring of Honor, and he wants to return to the mountaintop. Williams said he worked his entire life to get to Ring of Honor because of what the company represents. They say they are back to restore honor to ROH.

Aussie Open interrupt and remind them that this is the new Ring of Honor and there is no better tag team in the world than them. They challenge Titus and Williams to a tag team match next week. The four men shake on it and the match is official.

Konosuke Takeshita defeated Josh Woods

  • Konosuke Takeshita hit the wheel barrel suplex into a bridge to secure the pinfall victory over Josh Woods.

Ring of Honor World Champion Claudio Castagnoli is interviewed backstage about his title defense tonight against AR Fox. Castagnoli says pressure makes diamonds and that’s why he steps into the ring and why the Blackpool Combat Club exists. He said nothing will spoil his title defense tonight.

ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Embassy (Brian Cage, Kaun, and Toa Liona) defeated Joe Keys, Rex Lawless, and Leon St. Giovanni

  • Kaun and Toa Liona toss Leon St. Giovanni in the air into the waiting arms of Brian Cage, who hits a powerbomb to secure a dominant pinfall victory for The Embassy.

Ari Daivari defeated Gran Metalik

  • Gran Metalik had the match won, but the referee was distracted by Mark Sterling. This allowed Ari Daivari to capitalize and hit a hammerlock short-arm lariat to pick up the pinfall victory.

AR Fox is interviewed backstage, he mentions he tried out for Ring of Honor almost ten years ago but he never heard back. That just made him work harder and now he’s main eventing Ring of Honor tonight against Claudio Castagnoli for the World Championship.

Madison Rayne and Skye Blue defeated The Renegade Twins

  • Skye Blue hits Skye Fall to pick up the pinfall victory for her team.

It’s announced that Dalton Castle will be in action next week.

Ian Riccaboni interviews Ring of Honor Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta inside the squared circle, Yuta didn’t appreciate being referred to as the junior member of The Blackpool Combat Club. He said he didn’t become Pure Champion by accident. He did so by learning from three of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Yuta said he’s free next week and if anyone wants a shot at his title, they should make themselves known right now. This brings out Timothy Thatcher. He said he’s not a big fan of fighting but he’s a big fan of fighting. He accepts Yuta’s challenge for next week.

It’s announced that Ring of Honor Television Champion Samoa Joe will be in action next week.

Willow Nightingale defeated Lady Frost

  • Willow Nightingale hits a sitting powerbomb on Lady Frost to pick up the victory.

Ian Riccaboni interviews Willow Nightingale after her victory. Nightingale mentioned they are both from the old Ring of Honor regime. Nightingale mentions she’s racked up three wins in a row and now she wants to challenge Athena for the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship.

Athena comes out and accepts Willow Nightingale’s “mediocre” offer for a title match. Athena said she wants Nightingale to remember that after she beats her next week that she’s made of porcelain and she should feel lucky to be part of her division.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated AR Fox to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship

  • Claudio Castagnoli hits a flash uppercut to score the pinfall victory and remains the Ring of Honor World Champion.

As Claudio Castagnoli celebrates his win, he is interrupted by Eddie Kingston. Kingston said he’s an independent contractor now and he can be here. He said he promised Jon Moxley he wouldn’t beat Claudio’s ass in All Elite Wrestling, but this is Ring of Honor and he challenges him for a title match. Castagnoli walks off with no response and the crowd loudly chants for Kingston as Ring of Honor goes off the air.
